JOB SUMMARY The IT Business Partner, Finance & Accounting, is a hands-on technology and transformation IT role supporting Finance & Accounting department. The role combines deep JD Edwards (JDE) Finance expertise, financial process knowledge, data analysis skills, AI-enabled automation, rapid solution development, and project leadership. This individual will work directly with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs, identify automation opportunities, and deliver improved systems and processes across both JDE and non-JDE platforms. The role leads discovery through implementation, coordinates Finance, IT, vendors, and consultants, and helps deliver scalable automation, analytics, and application capabilities that reduce manual work, strengthen controls, improve the user experience, and support timely, accurate financial reporting in a consumer-packaged goods and alcohol beverage operating environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as trusted technology partner to Finance and Accounting leadership, building trusted relationships and aligning technology priorities with business objectives, financial controls, and operational needs. Own the functional roadmap and day-to-day effectiveness of Finance and Accounting applications, with particular focus on JDE financial capabilities and related reporting, workflow, integration, and data solutions. Lead discovery sessions, document current-state processes and pain points, define future-state requirements, and translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes. Provide functional leadership and troubleshooting across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Inventory Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting, intercompany processing, allocations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Partner with Accounting and Finance to improve month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, exception management, variance analysis, reporting accuracy, and the timeliness of financial information. Use SQL, Excel, business intelligence tools, and enterprise application data to analyze financial information, validate requirements, investigate exceptions, support decisions, and confirm solution results. Lead cross-functional initiatives from intake and scoping through solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, training, adoption, and post-implementation support. Develop project plans and manage scope, priorities, risks, dependencies, milestones, resources, vendors, consultants, and stakeholder communications to support effective delivery. Design and maintain appropriate application controls, documentation, workflows, security considerations, and change practices in partnership with Finance, Internal Controls, Information Security, and other IT teams. Identify and implement opportunities for workflow automation, low-code solutions, AI-assisted development, anomaly detection, monitoring, and reporting improvements.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Participate in enterprise application governance, technology planning, vendor evaluations, audits, and cross-functional working groups. Develop and maintain process maps, system documentation, support procedures, test scripts, training materials, release communications, and knowledge resources. Facilitate user acceptance testing, issue resolution, training, and change adoption; monitor solution effectiveness and partner with stakeholders on continuous improvement. Support business continuity planning, application lifecycle activities, upgrades, releases, integrations, and data-conversion efforts as assigned. Prepare status updates, decision materials, business cases, and presentations for Finance and IT leadership. Attend relevant professional development, user-group, CPG, manufacturing, finance systems, and technology events as appropriate. Perform other related duties and special assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Ten or more years of hands-on JD Edwards Finance functional experience, including configuration, implementation, enhancement, and production support. Advanced SQL skills for financial data analysis, reconciliation, troubleshooting. Knowledge of AI tools, prompt engineering, AI assisted development, copilots, or agents. Working knowledge of core accounting and finance processes, including General Ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, procurement, inventory or manufacturing accounting, financial close, reconciliations, controls, and reporting. Experience leading cross-functional projects through requirements, design, configuration or development, testing, implementation, training, and support. Experience in consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, wine, spirits, manufacturing, distribution, or another inventory-intensive environment preferred. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (can create powerful presentations for internal and external customers).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position operates primarily in a professional office and technology-enabled work environment. Ability to work for extended periods at a computer and communicate through in-person and virtual meetings. Ability to travel to TWG facilities and business meetings as needed; valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance may be required when driving on company business.
COMPENSATION
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $142,000 - $177,500. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities, education, and other position-related factors.
