The posting

Twikey verwerkt elke dag de terugkerende betalingen van duizenden bedrijven: domiciliëringen, kaartbetalingen, betaallinks. Achter elke transactie zit een klant die erop rekent dat het geld correct, één keer en op tijd binnenkomt. Dat is het systeem dat jij mee bouwt.

Je werkt in een klein development team aan de kern van het platform: 3 developers, 2 testers en een technical team lead die de ruis van je weghoudt, geen extra managementlaag. Geen tickets die over de muur gegooid worden: je ontwerpt, bouwt, test mee en volgt op in productie.

Waar je aan werkt

  • Betalingen die nooit dubbel of verloren mogen gaan. Retries, gelijktijdige verwerking en externe systemen die niet altijd doen wat ze beloven: jij zorgt dat het resultaat toch klopt.
  • Integraties met banken, softwarehuizen en grote bedrijven. Je bouwt en onderhoudt API's en koppelingen, en helpt partners technisch bij hun integratie.
  • Groei. Het volume stijgt elk jaar. Je zoekt de bottlenecks in queries, datamodel en verwerking voor ze een probleem worden.
  • Productie. Als er iets misloopt, zoek je uit waarom, los je het op en zorg je dat het niet opnieuw gebeurt. Tijdens de werkuren, want developers doen bij ons geen on-call.

Onze stack

Java, Spring en Go op Linux, PostgreSQL en veel API's. We kiezen technologie op basis van wat werkt, niet op basis van wat trendy is. Heb je een beter idee? Dan horen we het graag.

Hoe wij naar AI kijken

AI schrijft vandaag veel code, ook bij ons. Wat telt, is of je kunt beoordelen of die code klopt. Je behandelt AI-output zoals een pull request van een junior: lezen, testen, bevragen. Pas dan gaat het naar productie.

Wat zoeken wij in jou?

  • Je hebt enkele jaren ervaring als back-end developer met Java en Spring. Go is een pluspunt, of je leert het snel.
  • Je begrijpt databases (bij ons PostgreSQL): niet alleen hoe je ze gebruikt, maar ook hoe ze werken. Je weet wat een query doet, wanneer een index helpt en waar transacties beginnen en eindigen.
  • Je begrijpt concurrency en denkt in failure modes: wat gebeurt er als dit twee keer tegelijk binnenkomt, of halverwege faalt?
  • Je hebt een productie-incident meegemaakt en kunt uitleggen wat er misliep, hoe je het vond en wat je daarna structureel veranderd hebt.
  • Je kunt trade-offs benoemen en je keuzes verdedigen. Je kunt ook vertellen wat je vandaag anders zou doen.
  • Je schrijft code die leesbaar, testbaar en onderhoudbaar is, en je geeft en krijgt graag kritische review.
  • Je werkt zelfstandig en neemt ownership, van ontwerp tot opvolging in productie.
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en Engels.
  • Ervaring met betalingen, banken of fintech is een pluspunt, geen vereiste. Een diploma ook: wat je gebouwd hebt, telt meer.
