Twindo is at the forefront of revolutionizing the remodeling, architecture, and interior design industry through cutting-edge AI and computer vision technology. With our LiDAR-enabled iPhone or iPad scans, we capture precise 3D representations of homes in minutes, providing interactive models with accurate-to-the-inch measurements. Our proprietary process then turns these scans into highly detailed, editable, as-built files in industry-standard formats. Our technology was featured at Apple's keynote when the iPhone's LiDAR sensor was introduced, and we now model millions of square feet each month.

As a global virtual-first company, our team members are distributed worldwide, with a concentration in the US and Europe.

We are looking for an experienced, strategically-minded Engineering leader who is excited about helping a startup navigate early growth stages and build for scale. An important member of our R&D leadership cohort, this role will directly manage our Applications Team – a mission-critical group of fullstack, frontend, and iOS engineers, who build and maintain our customer-facing web and mobile applications for our growing user base.

This is an exciting opportunity to coach and mentor talented engineers from around the world, work on unique and challenging technical problems, and help us scale our customer applications for the future. Twindo is a remote-first company with a globally distributed team. We balance autonomy and flexibility with a strong work-ethic and care for the success of the business.

An ideal candidate would have team management maturity, passion and deep expertise in designing scalable applications, and would be a key thought partner for other leaders of the company. We are currently hiring remote candidates based in Europe and Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the company’s web and mobile customer-facing products, helping thousands of construction pros save time and grow their businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and the rest of Engineering leadership to align technical execution with business priorities.
  • Drive app usability and stability across web and mobile platforms, using industry best practices and innovation.
  • Contribute to strategic-level technical decision-making.
  • Lead and grow the team through hiring, coaching, mentorship, and career development.
  • Drive team execution by leading sprint planning, retrospectives, standups, demos, and other ceremonies.
  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, outcomes, and delivering value to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment, with focus on execution and delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with high agency, customer focus, problem-solving ability, and an outcome-driven mindset.
  • Expertise in both back-end and front-end tech stacks, including Python, JavaScript, Django (DRF), HTML, CSS, React, and PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.
  • Enthusiasm about modern agentic AI tooling and concepts like context engineering. Active usage of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, with constant exploration and search for further efficiency gains.
  • Comfortable operating in Agile development environments and collaborating across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
