The posting

The Corporate Advance Control Analyst will be an integral part in the enhancement of controls, visibility and oversight of RoundPoint’s servicing advance assets.  This position will be responsible for the analysis of financial data and mortgage servicing activity to cultivate correct accounting treatment, identify opportunities to reduce losses, and provide visibility and insight to RoundPoint’s leadership teams.  The Corporate Advance Control Analyst will play a key role in refining existing processes along with designing, implementing and creating procedures for new processes. Working Relationships: The Corporate Advance Control Analyst will report to the Corporate Advance Control Manager and will partner with the key stakeholders across the entire company including the Finance department, Loan Administration, Investor Reporting, Default Servicing, and Claims Management.  Responsibilities:

Sustaining reporting of all servicing advances, primarily through SQL Conduct quantitative analysis of advances over multiple population levels Identify opportunities to increase income, lower expenses, and recover receivables Perform qualitative reviews of servicing advance expenditures and claim fund receipts Evaluate and enhance quantitative analysis of advances across multiple loan populations Analysis of Unclaimed Funds, including timely reporting and remittance of Escheatable items Provides daily, weekly and monthly reporting on advances, recoveries and incentives, including loan level details and consulting of servicing advance trends and opportunities as they arise Aid in the securitization and funding of our servicing advances through debt facilities Aid in the delivery of monthly liquidity planning and forecasting on servicing advances Assist in the governance of transaction methodology and allocation mapping between Servicing and Accounting Assist with initiatives and projects as it relates to the goals of the team and leadership Provide line of business level review and consulting of servicing advance trends and opportunities as they arise Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis services as required to meet business needs

 Requirements:

Minimum of two years of recent experience as a data analyst, report developer, or another related title in a financial services environment Bachelor’s degree, preferably with emphasis in Finance/Accounting or Computer Science Experience with SQL programming language is preferred Experience with Black Knight Financial Services MSP is preferred Strong “big picture” understanding of servicing operations, internal controls and accounting Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel as a critical requirement Strong technical aptitude for learning new software and systems Independent ability to uniquely identify, collect, and assess data to create analytical solutions to complex business problems Excellent organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, peers, and management Must be a self-starting individual flexible to change and able to manage in a fast paced environment Good organizational and problem solving skills with ability to handle multiple tasks Expansive experience with collaborative project oversight across all facets of mortgage servicing

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and potentially up to 20 pounds occasionally.  Ability to observe details at close range, such as viewing a computer screen, reviewing documents, and performing data analysis. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, and no extreme conditions are present.
