The posting

Who we are:

Our growing Madison team is dynamic, energetic and brings a wealth of experience from Tyler partners in other states as well as other companies. Our mission is to knock the socks off our Wisconsin clients as well as the citizens they serve. To do this we need an experienced Business Analyst to keep the hundreds of moving parts going full steam ahead in perfect unison.

People often say that Government should serve its constituents more like businesses serve their customers. At Tyler Wisconsin, we make that ideal a reality by removing technology as a barrier and helping government engage with citizens in a meaningful way online twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We are a premier provider of Internet-based, electronic government services that help government entities use the Internet to reduce costs and provide a higher level of service to businesses and citizens. We contract with governments and design, build and operate websites, web, and mobile applications for government. We allow businesses and citizens to access information and complete transactions such as applying for permits or renewing licenses online. Tyler Wisconsin’s unique business model allows us to reduce our government clients' financial and technology risks and obtain revenue by sharing in the fees generated by electronic services.

Our government clients benefit from a centralized, manageable, customer-focused presence on the Internet. Businesses and citizens benefit from faster, more convenient and cost-effective interactions with government.

Job duties in a few tidy bullet points:

  • Lead customer interview sessions with state agencies to elicit and validate functional and technical requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business process description, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from underlying needs
  • Identify workflow and process improvement opportunities, and perform analysis of new changed processes, and clearly document and communicate them
  • Collaborate with state agencies, development staff and user interface designers to define requirements and acceptance criteria for implementation
  • Create detailed and effective project specification documentation, including user scenarios, screen mock-ups, business rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Create test plans and scripts for user testing
  • Perform internal testing and other quality assurance activities
  • Responsible for validation of requirements with key stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on participation throughout the development lifecycle
  • Develop trusted relationships with state agency subject matter experts

You will definitely need all this:

  • Undergraduate degree in information systems, business, computer science or equivalent work experience in business analysis with a preference for Certification of Competency in Business Analysis or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Minimum two years of job-related experience
  • Experience with formal requirements syntax
  • Must display a positive attitude and patience in dealing with customers with varying technical experience or knowledge
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and deliver results to meet customer expectations
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly flexible and entrepreneurial environment
  • Must enjoy working both independently and within project teams
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and pay obsessive attention to detail

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
