The posting

Tyler Technologies is looking for Content Development Interns to join our team next summer! The Content Developer Interns will help create clear, engaging training videos and other learning materials about our products. Working with product experts and other team members, the interns will support training for two audiences: clients learning about new products and employees learning about new product features.

This role is a good fit for someone interested in video production, communication, instructional design, or digital learning. The interns will also help review and edit existing materials and combine content into polished videos for internal information repositories.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, creating, and editing product training videos using modern video creation and editing tools.
  • Help develop client-facing training that introduces new products and explains how to use them.
  • Help create internal training that prepares employees to understand and support new product features.
  • Organize information so it is clear, engaging, and appropriate for the intended audience.
  • Apply feedback from product experts and other reviewers to improve content.
  • Help edit existing videos and materials, combining content when needed to create a cohesive final video.
  • Assist with preparing content for internal repositories and other designated channels.
  • Review materials for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and basic accessibility, including captions.
  • Learn and follow established production, review, and publishing processes.

Qualifications

  • Interest in video production, technical communication, instructional design, digital media, or a related field.
  • Basic familiarity with at least one video creation or editing tool through coursework, personal projects, or previous experience.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organization skills.
  • Ability to think about how different audiences may need information presented to understand and remember it.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to revise work based on feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and manage assigned tasks and deadlines.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Coursework or experience in video production, communications, instructional design, technical writing, or a related area.
  • A portfolio, class project, or personal project demonstrating video creation, editing, writing, or other relevant work.
  • Familiarity with screen recording, captions, presentation software, or learning platforms.
  • Curiosity about technology and an interest in learning how software products work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
