Job Description
The Sr. Platform and Data Analyst is a key member of a technology-focused Center of Excellence (COE) responsible for supporting enterprise Salesforce and additional platform operations, data management, governance, security, and performance initiatives across U.S. Bank.
This role partners with business and technology stakeholders to ensure the integrity, quality, availability, and effectiveness of critical platform data while supporting enterprise-wide business objectives. Working within a highly collaborative and agile team environment, this individual will lead efforts related to data quality, data movement, platform optimization, reporting, issue resolution, and governance activities. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with operational priorities and must be able to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
This role provides broad organizational exposure and supports multiple business functions across the enterprise. The individual will collaborate with business leaders, technology partners, data owners, and subject matter experts to deliver sustainable solutions that improve platform performance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration, optimization, and ongoing health of Salesforce platform data and related business processes.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve data quality, consistency, completeness, and integrity across platform environments.
- Execute and support data movement, data validation, data remediation, reconciliation, and testing activities using SQL or similar tools.
- Participate in enterprise data governance initiatives by helping establish, maintain, and enforce data standards, controls, and best practices.
- Partner with business and technology teams to identify opportunities to improve data management processes and platform effectiveness.
- Analyze data trends, platform performance metrics, and operational issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Support platform security, compliance, and governance activities in partnership with technology and risk stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive-level presentations to communicate findings, insights, risks, and recommendations.
- Lead and support projects and workstreams focused on platform enhancements, process improvements, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with team members to provide cross-functional support and coverage across data, security, and platform performance responsibilities.
- Respond effectively to changing priorities, production incidents, and emerging business needs.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders across business and technology organizations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience in data analytics, platform administration, business systems, data governance, or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Salesforce platforms, including data management, reporting, and platform optimization.
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and data stewardship practices.
- Experience with data movement, data integration, data validation, and remediation activities.
- Intermediate SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and validate large datasets.
- Strong skills in data analysis, data migration, and data governance.
- Strong understanding of data management lifecycle processes and controls.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments supporting multiple business lines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Previous banking or financial services experience preferred.
- Salesforce certifications preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
