Position Summary

The Marketing Data Products & Platforms (DPP) Leader serves as the MACX business owner for the marketing data and analytics ecosystem that powers enterprise and line-of-business decision-making. This leader is accountable for Marketing’s data product strategy, governance, adoption, and modernization agenda, including advancing a scalable data-as-a-product operating model.

The role will transform data into a strategic business asset by establishing trusted, reusable, and well-governed data products as the preferred foundation for analytics, insights, activation, and performance measurement. This leader will align investments with business priorities, champion a data-driven culture, and deliver measurable improvements in marketing effectiveness, customer outcomes, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Data Strategy & Operating Model

  • Define and lead the multi-year Marketing Data Products & Platforms (DPP) strategy and roadmap, aligning data investments with business priorities, customer outcomes, and enterprise objectives.
  • Establish and scale a data-as-a-product operating model, including business ownership, governance, adoption, and value realization.
  • Set portfolio priorities and investment strategies that maximize business impact, improve marketing effectiveness, and accelerate data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner across Marketing, Analytics, Data, Technology, and Business leadership teams to shape and execute the future-state marketing data and analytics strategy.

Data & Analytics Modernization

  • Lead Marketing's analytics modernization strategy, ensuring capabilities evolve to meet current and future business needs.
  • Champion the adoption of trusted, reusable, and well-governed data products that improve measurement, insights, activation, and decision-making.
  • Drive the transition from fragmented data assets toward standardized "gold" data products that serve as the foundation for analytics across Marketing.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics opportunities that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Leverage analytics, AI, and emerging data capabilities to enhance marketing performance, customer outcomes, and business growth.

Governance, Quality & Trust

  • Operationalize governance and “quality by design” across data ecosystems (access, stewardship, controls)
  • Strengthen confidence in data through consistent governance, business ownership, and clear definitions of critical data assets.
  • Ensure data products and analytics outputs meet regulatory, risk, and business requirements while maintaining trust across stakeholders.

Business Partnership & Influence

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders on analytics, insights, and data-driven decision-making
  • Build deep understanding of line-of-business goals, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Communicate executive-ready updates, clearly articulating tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies

Adoption & Value Realization

  • Drive MACX adoption of data products, self-service analytics, and data-driven decision-making across Marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Champion data literacy and enable teams to effectively leverage trusted data assets to improve business performance.
  • Establish adoption, usage, and value realization metrics to measure the impact of data products and analytics investments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing the overall data consumption experience and simplifying access to trusted insights.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across data products, analytics, governance, and business intelligence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop future leaders and strengthen organizational capabilities in data products, analytics, and business strategy.
  • Oversee strategic partnerships and external vendors to accelerate business outcomes and innovation.

What Success Looks Like

  • Establish Marketing's data and analytics ecosystem as the preferred foundation for analytical decision-making.
  • Make trusted "gold" data products the default source of truth, reducing duplication and increasing consistency, transparency, and reuse.
  • Execute a multi-year marketing data and analytics strategy that improves marketing effectiveness, customer outcomes, and measurable business value.
  • Increase adoption of data products and self-service analytics, enabling faster, more informed, and more consistent decision-making.
  • Foster a data-driven culture grounded in trust, accountability, transparency, and continuous value realization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related)
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in business insights and data analytics

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience across data analytics, data products, business intelligence, or enterprise data strategy.
  • Experience establishing and scaling data product operating models, including business ownership, governance, adoption, and value realization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and analytics investments into measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven success influencing senior executives and shaping business strategy through data, analytics, and insights.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and organizational change capabilities.
  • Track record of leading enterprise transformation and fostering data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry preferred.

Data, Analytics & Domain Expertise

  • Deep understanding of data products, analytics operating models, enterprise data strategy, and trusted data management.
  • Experience leveraging analytics, AI, and customer insights to improve marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Knowledge of marketing, customer, digital, activation, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, risk, and responsible data use.
  • Experience translating complex business and customer needs into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with execution and drive enterprise adoption of data products and analytics capabilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
