The Opportunity

The Psychology Department at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for up to two (2) nine-month, non-tenure earning Lecturer positions. These annually renewable positions offer a clear career path with the possibility of promotion based on years of service and performance.

The first position will support our Psychology B.S. program. This position is located on the university’s main Orlando campus. Duties will include teaching a 4/4 load of large face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses (ranging between 75 and 400 students) and service in support of the program and department.

The second position will support both the Psychology B.S. program and Clinical Psychology M.A. program. The position is located on the university’s main Orlando campus. Duties will include teaching a 4/4 load of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses at the undergraduate level. Face-to-face courses in support of the graduate program are taught at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus located approximately 30 minutes from the Orlando campus. Service is expected in support of both programs and the department. The instructional duties and service assignments are in accordance with the department’s current equitable workload policy.

The Psychology Department emphasizes breadth of psychology education while allowing students to pursue one of six specialized tracks: Clinical Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience, and General. Psychology is one of the most popular majors at UCF with over 4,000 undergraduate majors and 150+ graduate students. At the same time, we emphasize critical thinking, strong written and oral communication skills, and professional development. This is accomplished by offering career readiness, research opportunities, and high impact learning experiences such as honors theses, undergraduate teaching assistant internships, service learning, and study abroad. The Psychology B.S. degree is offered as a face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online program. The Online Bachelor’s Program was rated 3rd best in the country in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2026 rankings.

The Master of Arts Clinical Psychology Program, ranked the 2nd best in the country by Psychology.org in 2025, is a terminal master’s program offered at the UCF Sanford/Lake Mary campus. The program consists of two tracks:

Applied Pre-Licensure/Non-Thesis Track: The Applied Pre-Licensure/Non-Thesis Track is designed for students interested in delivering clinical services in a variety of settings including community agencies and private practice. After completing the program and after two years of postgraduate supervised clinical experience, graduates are eligible to become Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) in the state of Florida. The Applied Pre-Licensure/Non-Thesis Track is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC).

Research/Thesis Track: The Research/Thesis Track is designed for students who wish to focus on clinical research and/or are interested in pursuing entry into a doctoral program following the completion of their master’s degree. Students who complete this option are not eligible to become Licensed Mental Health Counselors upon graduation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
