We make it our mission to support and advance UCF’s goals by fostering a positive and engaging work environment while identifying and responding to the changing needs of our community.

The Opportunity:

UCF Human Resources is seeking a Senior Compensation Partner to serve as the lead compensation consultant for one of the nation's largest universities. With more than 70,000 students and 13,000 employees, UCF makes pay decisions that shape how we attract, retain, and reward the people behind our mission. Bring your expertise to UCF and help build the future of how we recognize and reward our people.

Responsibilities:

Compensation Expertise and Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the lead compensation consultant and subject matter expert, independently resolving complex issues across base pay, salary structures, job architecture, position classification, job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity.
  • Partner with HR business partners and institutional leaders to develop practical, data-informed compensation solutions that maintain equity, policy compliance, and governance.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance and mentorship to compensation colleagues as a primary resource for complex inquiries.

Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation

  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement of Workday HCM and serve as the functional owner of Workday Advanced Compensation, including annual salary program execution.
  • Partner with the Enterprise ERP team to define requirements, perform functional and unit testing, and support implementation through process redesign, documentation, and end-user training.

Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support compensation projects, programs, and process improvements, translating leadership priorities into actionable plans, tools, and deliverables.

Compensation Strategy and Salary Programs

  • Support the Senior Director of Compensation in university-wide compensation strategy, planning, and administration of salary programs, including annual salary programs and merit increases.

Reporting, Analytics, and Data Governance

  • Provide functional leadership for compensation reporting, analytics, and dashboards, including Power BI, in collaboration with Enterprise Reporting and HR technology partners.
  • Support compensation data audits, validation procedures, and standardized reporting practices that strengthen data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six or more years of progressive compensation experience, including market pricing, job evaluations, and position classification.
  • Experience serving as a consultant and trusted advisor to HR business partners and organizational leaders, providing sound judgment and data-informed compensation recommendations.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or serving as a technical resource for compensation colleagues.
  • Experience with Workday or a similar Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to support compensation administration and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience leading or contributing to compensation or HR systems projects and process improvements, including requirements gathering, testing, process redesign, and end-user training.
  • Experience supporting the administration of enterprise-wide salary programs, such as annual salary programs and merit increases.
  • Experience developing compensation reports, dashboards, or analytics, such as Power BI, and supporting data audits or validation to strengthen data integrity.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

  • The anticipated salary for this position is $110,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and the university cannot accommodate H‑1B transfers or employment-based visa processing for individuals currently sponsored by another employer.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
