Overview
Pharmacist | Adult Intensive Care | UF Health Gainesville | Evening 7-on 7-off
Join the UF Health Gainesville pharmacy team as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist supporting patients across the UF Health Shand’s Gainesville Hospital. In this role, you’ll help provide safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy for patients within the Intensive and Intermediate Care areas, surgical patients, and Burn Units patients.
As a 7-on 7-off evening pharmacist, you’ll work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and research to advance pharmacy practice. You will have the opportunities to be cross trained in other inpatient pharmacy areas to cover other patient populations.
This position offers the unique advantage of a 7-on 7-off schedule, providing a full week off between rotations while maintaining continuity of care for patients. Team members work 10-hour weekday evening shifts and weekend mid-shifts. Training is provided to ensure you are comfortable in your assigned area(s). There is also a period of overlap with other pharmacists for appropriate handoff and continued on-the-job training! Holiday responsibilities are limited to those occurring during your scheduled work week, and pharmacists maintain their regular schedules during hospital disaster events without additional disaster team assignments. Trading of holidays and even disbursement of duties is allowable.
