We are seeking a full-time or part-time Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join The Hughes Center, a residential treatment and day school setting in Danville, Virginia. This role offers a collegial work environment with strong clinical and administrative support, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality care to adolescent patients while working alongside a collaborative care team. Quick Facts Employment Type: Full-time or part-time, employed Schedule / Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hour work week with some call Or PRN weekend coverage Call: TBD Patient Volume: 20-30 patient contacts per week Location: Danville, VA Practice Setting: Child and adolescent residential treatment facility and day school Support / Care Team: Physicians, clinical staff, and administrative support services Responsibilities Provide psychiatric mental health care to adolescent patients Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff Manage day-to-day clinical responsibilities Document care Compensation & Benefits Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 + benefits, bonuses Relocation: relocation package if needed Health, Dental, Vision & Retirement: Health insurance package and excellent matching 401(k) PTO, CME & Schedule Flexibility: Significant paid time off and reimbursement/time off for CME Wellness & Work-Life Balance Support: Short- and long-term disability insurance, malpractice coverage, and employee stock purchase plan Qualifications Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Board Certification in FNP a significant plus. Active or eligible Virginia license PMHNP training from an accredited program required Interest in child/adolescent cases involving Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, and PDD required Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating providers Growth & Development Opportunity for personal and professional growth Collaborative environment with clinical and administrative support Potential to contribute to a growing program serving youth with complex needs About the Organization & Community The Hughes Center is a 96-bed child and adolescent residential treatment facility and day school serving ages 13–18 in Danville, Virginia. The facility supports young men and women diagnosed with intellectual disability and pervasive developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome, helping them develop the skills needed for greater independence through educational, vocational, and therapeutic support. Danville is located in Pittsylvania County in Southern Virginia and offers a convenient regional location, approximately 50 miles from Greensboro, NC, 75 miles from Roanoke, VA, and just over an hour from Raleigh, NC. The campus-style facility sits on 60 acres and expanded into a new building with additional beds and resources 2.5 years ago.
