Responsibilities Are you an experienced inpatient and outpatient coder, passionate about providing accurate coding support in a hospital setting? Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is looking for you! We are currently recruiting for a full-time CODER-Medical Records Specialist position. (THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION) Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital (AGBH) is an 80-bed facility, serving the adolescent, adult, and detox/rehab population and is located in Orem, Utah. To learn more visit www.aspengrovehospital.com Position Status: Full-time non-exempt hourly position working Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm w/some weekend work, as needed. Hourly pay rate will be based on education, work experience and certifications. Coding discharged patients' accounts. Prepare the patient chart for discharge process and assemble components in the correct order. Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data. Qualifications Your qualifications and experience will include: Education: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED Experience: Two years' of experience as a CODER with Medical Records preferred Licensure/Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCA (Certified Coding Associate), or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred. Other: Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Knowledge: Health Information Management (HIM) systems and operations.
