Responsibilities Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. Position Summary The PRN House Supervisor (RN) assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care of patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Contributes to improving hospital operations and services by making suggestions for changing and modifying practices, and serving on special task forces as indicated Provides direction and leadership by directing Charge Nurses, RNs, LVNs, and MHTs in the milieu management of the unit. Provides appropriate intervention in psychiatric and medical crisis situations Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit program, and hospital mission and philosophy. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required; Preferred: Bachelor degree from an accredited Nursing program. Experience: Minimum one (1) year(s) of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. Licensure: Must maintain an active Registered Nurse license issed by TX BON or Maintain an active RN Multi state compact license. Additional Requirements: Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.
