The Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing educational services to school age children attending Cumberland Academy according to the Academy Standards, as instructed by the Director of Education. Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide educational services to assigned students. 2. Implement behavioral strategies in the classroom as developed by the team. 3. Complete all documentation in a professional and timely manner. 4. Provide verbal and written documentation to student’s team members. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, but not required. Licensure/Certification: Maintain current CPI (bi-annually), CPR (BLS Provider annually) First Aid (two years) Certifications. Qualifications Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 80-90% of the time, the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working with patients. Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients. Ability to perform CPR and First Aid. WE ARE UNIQUE - COME SEE THE DIFFERENCE! Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams. We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.
