Job Description

About us

Fusion, the process that powers the sun and stars, is one of the most promising options for generating the cleaner, carbon-free energy that our world badly needs. UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organisations to achieve ground-breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

About the Job

You’ll be responsible for UKAEA’s desk and space-booking system while supporting the wider Office Services team. Using booking data and workplace analytics, you’ll help the Accommodation Manager understand how space is being used and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. You’ll also coordinate office furniture, moves and related services across Culham and South Yorkshire.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day support for the Robin desk and space-booking application.
  • Act as the main point of contact and system administrator for Robin.
  • Produce and analyse desk and room-booking reports for the Accommodation Manager and other teams.
  • Respond to user queries and manage accommodation-related Ivanti tickets.
  • Liaise with Robin’s support team in the USA to resolve issues and introduce relevant new features.
  • Support links between Robin and Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Teams.
  • Configure the booking system for new buildings, meeting rooms and changes to desk layouts.
  • Administer Ivanti and Maximo systems on behalf of the Accommodation team.
  • Coordinate office furniture, stock, storage, deliveries and supply issues across Culham and South Yorkshire.
  • Support office moves and maintain trackers used by the Accommodation team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A-levels or an equivalent or higher qualification.
  • Demonstrable administrative experience within a busy working environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new workplace systems.
  • A track record of managing and monitoring a high volume of concurrent tasks.
  • The ability to compile, check and analyse operational data to produce accurate reports.

UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually 4 days per week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role.

Benefits

We have a generous range of benefits (see the full list here) and highlights include:

  • A salary of £32903
  • Up to 7% corporate performance bonus
  • Final salary defined benefits pension scheme with an equivalent of 21.5% employer pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave plus 2.5 'privilege' days; 8 Bank Holidays
  • Additional 3 days of site closure over Christmas break
  • Flexible working options plus family-friendly leave provisions

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
