The posting

Unearth is building Europe's open system for climate data. We provide the finance sector with high-quality information on how companies affect – and are affected by – climate change. The data on the market today is flawed, which increases risk in financial decisions. With correct climate data, we can accelerate transition and reach the Paris Agreement.

Unearth is only a few months old, but we already have several customers, a high-class proprietary AI platform, interest from investors, and a part of Sting Core, one of the world's leading accelerator programs for early-stage tech startups with high growth potential.

Our next step is making Unearth a scalable business. Therefore, we are looking for a commercial co-founder who wants to develop our product, increase sales and build the company with us.

You will own the question:

How do we best transform our data into attractive products that banks and other financial actors internationally want to buy, use, and scale?

This is not a traditional CCO role where the commercial model is already finished and a sales organization is in place. You will be part of shaping the product and business.

Start as soon as possible, preferably based in Stockholm, preferably full time.

If you are the right person and everything clicks, we see you as a co-founder with ownership.

What you will build

  • Find the right positioning and go-to-market
  • Develop and package the product commercially
  • Develop the business and pricing model
  • Drive product-market fit
  • Work hands-on with sales

In the long run, the mission is to build a scalable commercial model for growth. At start, it’s just as much about doing the job from scratch yourself – sleeves rolled up, in other words.

Why Unearth?

Unearth was started by the team behind the NGO Klimatkollen: Frida Berry Eklund, Ola Spännar, Kayla Woodward, and Elvira Boman – a group of senior leaders in climate, AI, communication, and technology. Together, we have built an open data platform that handles and presents data about municipalities, regions, countries, and companies. With the support of Google.org, we have created a first-class AI platform, media reach of 800+ million, and secured 30+ partnerships, both in Sweden and internationally.

We know climate and AI. Unearth builds on the open data and technology developed in Klimatkollen to ensure that banking and finance gain access to the system for climate data, today via our API. We already have several large customers, including internationally.

The market for in-depth climate data is large (€153M) and growing fast (+29%). We are a niche climate data actor that knows the issues in depth and bases our product on research.

Our ambition is to serve Europe's banking and finance market with data and analysis that accelerates the green transition and achieves the Paris Agreement.

Do you want to do it with us?

We believe you have experience in enterprise sales and are used to selling products where the customer needs to understand data, business value, and risk before a purchase is made.

Experience from banking & finance as well as financial products and data sales is key. You have a strong network within the Swedish and Nordic financial and banking sectors.

If you have worked with sustainability or have a strong desire to contribute to green transition, it is a big plus.

Above all, we think you:

  • understand data and tech development and make it understandable and relevant
