Als Duty Terminal Manager ondersteun je de Terminal Manager in zijn dagelijkse taken en maak je deel uit van een team dat zich focust op het ‘terminal’ gedeelte van de stouwerij-activiteiten. Je werkt samen met alle diensten om de veiligheidscultuur te bewaken en helpt mee streven naar de ‘ZERO’ veiligheidscampagnes.

PLANNING/ OPVOLGING TERMINAL

  • Dagelijks opvolgen van alle bewegingen op kaai volgens de SLA van de verschillende klanten
  • Het overzicht behouden van de diverse trafieken met focus op spoor en truck en hun specifieke lossingen, ladingen en alle behandelingen die speciale aandacht vragen
  • Helpen kosten te beheren en efficïentie verzekeren bij het inzetten van de middelen, optimale ploegberekening, inzetten van de juiste middelen qua rollend materieel, ploegbezetting en inzet van technische assistentie en middelen
  • De operaties van kortbij opvolgen en ingrijpen waar nodig, beslissingen kunnen nemen op zeer korte termijn en deze goed communiceren
  • Optimaal benutten van de voorhanden tools om efficiënt en effectief de taken uit te voeren.

CONTACTEN

  • Nauw samenwerken met de Terminal Manager om tot optimale operationele planningen te komen qua tijds – en plaatsbenutting met het oog op een hoog rendementsvolle operatie voor de Terminal activiteiten.
  • Operaties van kortbij opvolgen en ingrijpen waar nodig. Beslissingen kunnen nemen op zeer korte termijn en deze goed communiceren.
  • Wekelijks/dagelijks op de werkvloer aanwezig waar en wanneer dit nodig blijkt (GEMBA).
  • Met QSSE streven naar ZERO damage, (pro active) kwaliteitseisen, regelmatig overleg en actief meewerken om incidenten en/of arbeidsongevallen te onderzoeken en tegenmaatregelen te formuleren en op te volgen
  • Aansturen van een gate team, lotvorming, shunting rail en yard ops met als doel de terminal zo efficiënt mogelijk te managen, op te volgen en te coördineren.
  • Behouden van nauw contact met het VPC om hun diensten te ondersteunen met het oog op plaats aan capaciteit, aan- en afvoer.
  • Dagdagelijks op een professionele manier contact houden met de klant om tot een planning te komen, hierbij aandacht hebben voor problemen die zich kunnen aanbieden qua ploegbezetting en werktijden.
  • Samen zoeken naar oplossingen en tijdig communiceren met Terminal manager indien escalatie dreigt.
  • Nauwe samenwerking met de andere operationele diensten (VPC, Stevedoring, Labour Management, Gemba Management, Breakbulk, ...) om tot een optimaal werkkader te komen.
  • Je kan vlot communiceren in het Nederlands en Engels.
  • Je bent bekend met de typische Microsoft programma's zoals Outlook, Word, Excel en interne IT software.
  • Je bent goed in plannen, organiseren en bent besluitvaardigheid.
  • Je bent communicatief sterk en kan taakgericht leiding geven
  • Je bent flexibel en kan goed in teamsverband werken.
  • Je bent stressbestendig en hebt een kaizen mentalieit.
