Job Description

Purpose of the Position:

The Learning & Enablement Specialist, Financial Aid is responsible for developing and enabling employees and leaders who support the financial aid lifecycle. In this role, you will serve as a Financial Aid subject matter expert, designing and delivering learning experiences, resources, and ongoing support that help employees understand expectations, apply processes correctly, and perform their roles confidently and consistently.

Beyond traditional training, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Financial Aid enablement at Unitek. You will help advance how employees access knowledge, develop proficiency, collaborate with colleagues, and receive support in the flow of work. Through emerging technologies, innovative learning approaches, and continuous improvement, you will help build a more effective, scalable, and responsive enablement experience.

Working closely with Financial Aid leadership, campus teams, and business partners, you will help accelerate role readiness, strengthen performance, and promote consistent, compliant Financial Aid practices across Unitek.

Job responsibilities:

Training delivery & facilitation

• Deliver onboarding, role-specific orientation, and ongoing training for Financial Aid employees and leaders.

• Facilitate live virtual and in-person training, workshops, practice sessions, and

reinforcement activities.

• Provide coaching and follow-up support to help employees apply learning effectively in

their day-to-day work.

• Adapt delivery based on learner experience, performance needs, and changes to

Financial Aid processes or requirements.

• Support new employees through role readiness and transition from training into

independent performance.

Learning design & role enablement

• Design and maintain Financial Aid learning experiences, training materials, job aids,

process guides, practice activities, and role-based resources.

• Translate complex regulations, policies, processes, and system workflows into clear,

practical guidance employees can use in their work.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of Financial Aid RoleReady

resources, including role toolkits and readiness experiences.

• Create learning solutions that emphasize application and performance rather than

information alone.

• Ensure learning materials remain current as processes, systems, regulations, and

organizational expectations change.

Financial Aid subject matter expertise

• Maintain strong working knowledge of Financial Aid operations, including federal Title IV

requirements and applicable institutional policies and procedures.

• Serve as a trusted resource for Financial Aid processes, workflows, systems, and

common employee questions.

• Partner with Financial Aid leadership and appropriate compliance or policy owners to

ensure training accurately reflects current requirements.

• Identify areas where employees may be experiencing confusion, inconsistency, or

performance risk and recommend enablement solutions.

• Escalate policy, compliance, or process questions that require interpretation or decisions

from the appropriate business owner.

Knowledge sharing & continuous enablement

• Administer and support Financial Aid peer-to-peer learning and knowledge-sharing

channels to encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and consistent practices.

• Monitor employee questions and discussions, providing timely answers, guidance, or

escalation to appropriate subject matter experts.

• Identify recurring questions, knowledge gaps, and opportunities to improve existing

training, processes, and role-based resources.

• Translate insights from employee interactions into updates and enhancements to

Financial Aid toolkits, job aids, and other enablement resources.

• Promote awareness, adoption, and ongoing use of available learning and performance support resources.

Innovation & future-state enablement

• Help shape the evolution of Financial Aid enablement by identifying opportunities to

improve how employees learn, access information, and perform their work.

• Explore and contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled knowledge and performance-support solutions, where appropriate.

• Partner with Capability & Enablement leadership to pilot new approaches, evaluate their

effectiveness, and scale solutions that improve employee readiness and performance.

• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce repetitive questions, and make rolespecific knowledge easier to access and apply

Business partnership & performance support

• Build strong relationships with Financial Aid leaders and employees to understand

business needs and performance challenges.

• Partner with leaders to distinguish knowledge or skill gaps from process, system, policy,

or other performance barriers.

• Recommend training, resources, reinforcement, or other enablement approaches based

on identified needs.

• Support leaders in reinforcing role expectations and effective practices following

training.

• Participate in launches or changes that require Financial Aid employee training,

communication, or adoption support.

Measurement & continuous improvement

• Gather employee and leader feedback to understand the effectiveness and usability of

Financial Aid learning experiences and resources.

• Monitor training participation, readiness indicators, learner feedback, and other

available measures of effectiveness.

• Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, consolidate, or retire training and resources.

• Use insights from employee questions, recurring errors, and performance trends to

continuously improve Financial Aid enablement.

• Contribute to broader Capability & Enablement initiatives and share effective practices

across functions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
