University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Oak Park, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes, helping to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour, with compensation paid semi-monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their well-being.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
  • Follow individualized care plans and report changes in client condition to supervisors.
  • Ensure client safety by adhering to all care protocols and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and client interactions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in direct care or a related healthcare field is a plus but not required.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
