The University of Miami, School of Education and Human Development, and the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies (EPS) invite applications for a non-tenure track, Associate Professor of Clinical (Educator Faculty) position to serve as Director of Training for our APA-accredited Ph.D. Program in Counseling Psychology. This is a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track appointment. We are seeking an exceptional educator, scholar, clinician, mentor, and academic leader who is excited not only to lead a nationally ranked doctoral program, but also to contribute to an ambitious period of growth within the School of Education and Human Development. The successful applicant will have earned a doctorate in an APA-accredited program in Counseling Psychology.

This recruitment reflects a broader aspiration: to attract and retain stellar faculty who will help position the School of Education and Human Development among the top schools of education in the United States. We seek colleagues who bring intellectual energy, innovative thinking, excellence in teaching and mentorship, strong professional and community engagement, and a commitment to preparing the next generation of leaders who will address some of the most consequential educational, psychological, and human-development challenges of our time.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to provide leadership at multiple levels—strengthening an APA-accredited doctoral program, shaping the education and professional development of graduate students, fostering interdisciplinary and community partnerships, contributing to innovation across programs, and helping advance the scholarship of clinical practice and the national visibility and impact of the program and school. We are particularly interested in candidates who are builders: individuals who can honor the strengths and history of an established program while imagining what is possible. The ideal candidate will bring a record of excellence and a forward-looking vision for doctoral education, clinical training, student success, professional practice, and the future of counseling psychology.

In addition to directing the PhD program in Counseling Psychology, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses and advising students across our doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate programs, advising Ph.D. and Ed.D. dissertations, and providing service to the program, department, school, and university. The is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment.

  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing
