The posting

This position provides comprehensive administrative support for the Dean’s Office and Academic Affairs functions at UNH Manchester, serving as a key resource for academic leadership, department chairs, faculty, and the broader college community. Responsibilities include coordinating academic processes and recurring activities; supporting faculty affairs, promotion and tenure, adjunct faculty, evaluations, accreditation and program reviews; preparing reports and materials; coordinating meetings, events, communications, and special projects; and providing administrative support to academic departments. The position also supports the effective daily operation of the Dean’s Office, including serving as a primary point of contact, assisting with onboarding and campus events, and working closely with the Administrative Services Manager to ensure responsive and well-coordinated administrative services across the college.

Duties/Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. To include:

  • Complex administrative support including calendar management, meeting preparation of materials, coordination of follow ups and action items, and management of reoccurring meetings.
  • Coordinate college processes and procedures to chairs, faculty, and other members within the college community.
  • Assist the Administrative Services Manager with the tracking and oversight of the Associate Dean budget line items.
  • Planning and executing events led by the Associate Dean (i.e., Academic community Forums, Sidore lecture series, etc.)
  • Sole collector as well as creator and distributor of materials and information for the Millworks Newsletter (i.e., shoutouts, good news) and reporting of data analytics of that publication.
  • Assisting in development and planning of adjunct orientation as well as the sole administrative support for adjunct faculty within the Manchester division of CPS.
  • Prepare reports on academic programs, course enrollments, and trends as well as extensive data gathering projects requested by the Associate Dean.
  • Coordinate with a variety of departments on special programs as needed.
  • Sole contact for the campus-wide office supply ordering and management.
  • Sole DIG TEV liaison and main contact for all faculty evaluations; working directly with Administrative Services Manager to provide reporting for personnel files and Office of the Dean back up.
  • Provide administrative support for the Manchester division five department chairs.
  • Coordinate with the Administrative Services Manager on the Manchester division College promotion and tenure committee for annual promotion and tenure submissions.
  • Participate in reoccurring Dean’s Administrative meetings with other University representatives.
  • Prepare materials and draft reports for use in various committees and constituencies.
  • Liaise with Associate Dean on accreditation visits and on-site external reviews of programs.
  • Provide administrative support in logistics, planning, and historical archiving on program advisory boards with the college.
  • Coordinate the requests, submission, and approval process for the annual graduate faculty nominations from each program.

Administrative support within the Office of the Dean and the campus including:

  • Main office greeter and first point of contact for the office for phone, questions, visitors, concerns, and issues. This includes providing suite “gatekeeping” services for those within.
  • Oversight of the office conference room, supply closet, reception area; ordering necessary supplies and office equipment as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding materials, ordering equipment or supplies, coordinating building tours for new hires, and aid in logistical planning for new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Back-up support for events on campus.
  • General administrative support and back-up support to the Academic Services Manager and the Office of the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of experience.

Compensation Pay Range:

$17.57 - $28.96
