Post Title : Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Level 3 School: Upland's Little Explorers (part of Upland Primary School) Contract Type: Permanent Contract Hours: 27.5 hours per week 9am-3pm Monday-Friday with 1/2 hour lunch (term time only) Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:00 Grade: BEX04 NJC 4 Actual Salary: £18,582 Actual (£29,025 FTE) Position Start Date: As soon as possible Advert Closing Date: 13th November 2026 Interview Date: 16th November 2026

Upland’s Little Explorers, a brand-new term-time only preschool that opened in September 2025, is seeking to recruitment a Level 2 OR Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent, responsive care to very young children.
  • Undertake personal care tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-quality learning environment.
  • Liaise closely with parents and carers to inform them of their child's progress.
  • Assist with daily routines including mealtimes and transition between activities.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a Level 2 OR Level 3, full and relevant, qualifications
  • Enjoys working with children
  • Communicates well children and adults.
  • Has experience of working in a pre-school.
