Institutionen för kemi inom livsvetenskaperna bedriver forskning och utbildning inom analytisk kemi, biokemi och organisk kemi. Vid institutionen arbetar drygt 100 personer. Nya medarbetare och studenter rekryteras från hela världen och engelska är det huvudsakliga arbetsspråket. Institutionen är belägen vid Biomedicinskt Centrum i Uppsala där det finns goda möjligheter till samarbeten med forskargrupper inom biologi, farmaci, medicin och SciLifeLab samt tillgång till avancerad infrastruktur för experimentella och teoretiska studier. Läs mer om oss här. Projektbeskrivning Detta projekt syftar till att utveckla icke-kovalenta supramolekylära komplexer och använda dem i syntesutveckling. Postdoktor forskarens specifika uppgift är organisk syntes och spektroskopisk karakterisering. Arbetsuppgifter Arbetet kommer att innebära forskning inom syntetisk organisk kemi. Kvalifikationskrav Doktorsexamen, eller en utländsk examen som bedöms motsvara doktorsexamen, inom organisk kemi. Omfattande kunskaper i och praktiska erfarenheter med metodutveckling, katalytiska transformationer och mekanistisk organisk kemi. Vid urval bland behöriga sökande kommer särskild vikt att fästas vid vetenskaplig skicklighet. Vid bedömning av vetenskapliga meriter kommer erfarenhet av halogenkemi vägas högt. Vi lägger stor vikt vid personliga egenskaper såsom noggranhet, kreativitet, öppenhet, motivation, genuint vetenskapligt intresse och social kompetens. Det är viktigt för oss att vårt labb och våra instrument är organiserade, rena och i ordning, du förväntas vara en förebild när det gäller detta. Du ska ha förmåga att arbeta välorganiserat och strukturerat. Du ska ha mycket bra förmåga att uttrycka dig på engelska, i såväl tal som i skrift. Meriterande Erfarenhet med syntetisk organisk kemi, små molekyl NMR spektroskopi och icke-kovalenta interaktioner kommer att vara meriterande.
