Vill du bygga en digital tvilling av framtidens lokala elnät – och använda den för att göra en ny stadsdel motståndskraftig mot oförutsedda störningar? Välkommen att söka anställning som postdoktor på Uppsala universitet. Elektrifiering och digitalisering tillhör framtidens största områden för omställning till hållbara samhällen. Institutionen för elektroteknik bedriver framgångsrik forskning och utbildning inom dessa områden – däribland förnybara energikällor och elfordon, industriell IoT, 6G kommunikation och trådlösa sensornät men även forskning och utbildning inom Life Science, hälsoteknik, smarta elektroniska sensorer och medicinska system. Institutionen för elektroteknik är en internationell miljö med ca 170 medarbetare som bidrar till viktiga tekniska energi- och hälsolösningar vid Ångströmlaboratoriet. Anställningen kommer att vara placerad vid avdelningen för elektricitetslära vid institutionen för Elektroteknik, Uppsala universitet. Läs mer om våra förmåner och hur det är att jobba inom Uppsala universitet Projektbeskrivning Anställningen ingår i ett samarbete mellan Uppsala universitet, KTH och Uppsala kommun om energisystemet i Uppsalas sydöstra stadsdelar – ett av Sveriges största stadsutvecklingsprojekt, med 21 500 planerade bostäder fram till 2050. Kommunen har beslutat att gå vidare med ett solcellsbaserat mikronät som testbädd för att stärka stadsdelens energisäkerhet. De behöver forskningsbaserat underlag för tekniska vägval och dimensionering. Här får du arbeta med en verklig fråga, i skarpt läge, där dina resultat får direkt betydelse för hur en stadsdel byggs. Två postdoktorer rekryteras parallellt för att arbeta tillsammans – en vid Uppsala universitet och en vid KTH. Denna anställning ansvarar för den tekniska modelleringen av elnätet och den digital infrastrukturen, särskilt energisystemets resiliens och ödriftsförmåga. Anställningen vid KTH ansvarar för den teknoekonomiska utvärderingen av stadsdelens energiförsörjning och använder resultaten från modelleringen. En del av arbetstiden förläggs hos Uppsala kommun, vilket ger direkt tillgång till planeringsunderlag, aktörer och de frågeställningar som är aktuella i genomförandet. Projektet är en del av det strategiska forskningsområdet STandUP for Energy. Huvudsyfte för projektet är att stärka energisäkerheten i en stadsdel i tillväxt: hur den integrerade el- och värmeförsörjningen kan planeras, dimensioneras och styras för att upprätthålla sin funktion även vid oförutsedda händelser.
