About This Opportunity

Turn research into knowledge that reaches the people who can use it. As Senior Research Assistant, you will provide hands-on research and knowledge translation support, helping transform evidence into accessible, engaging resources and communications. Working collaboratively with researchers and stakeholders, you will contribute across the research lifecycle, from study design and literature reviews through to events, digital platforms and the communication of research outcomes. This is a purposeful opportunity to combine your health sciences background, organisational capability and communication skills to help create meaningful impact from research.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the design and delivery of research activities, including literature searches and reviews, research documentation, ethics and funding applications, and the preparation of reports, figures and presentations.
  • Coordinate knowledge translation activities, including events, workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions, while applying practical knowledge translation processes and tools.
  • Translate research into clear and engaging content for diverse audiences across social media, electronic direct mail, reports and other communication channels.
  • Support and enhance the Network’s digital presence, including website content and knowledge translation platforms, and contribute to visual communications using tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.

This is a part-time (0.2 FTE), fixed-term position until December 2027 at HEW Level 5.

About You

  • A degree-level qualification in health sciences, or a diploma with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, with familiarity in design and digital content tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress or Canva highly regarded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and engaging research and knowledge translation content.
  • Strong organisational skills, with a methodical and self-motivated approach to coordinating activities and managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, while also working independently on routine procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar research, knowledge translation or research support role would be highly regarded.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
