This leader recruits, develops, coaches, and manages FRMs; establishes regional priorities and performance expectations; and ensures the team delivers effective reimbursement education and support to targeted accounts. Through regular field engagement and ride-alongs, the Senior Director evaluates FRM customer interactions, reinforces best practices, and develops team capabilities. The Senior Director also represents the field perspective in strategic planning and partners across Market Access, Patient Support Services, Sales, and other functions to identify access barriers, improve execution, and strengthen the customer experience. Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in market access, reimbursement, managed care, patient services, or pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercialization, preferably supporting specialty or biologic products.
  • At least three years of successful people-management experience, including demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, develop, and manage performance.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, medical-benefit reimbursement, patient access services, and field reimbursement practices.
  • Experience working with patient support hubs or related patient services programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into field execution and measurable business results.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50 percent, including overnight travel.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with complex billing, coding, claims, coverage, and payment processes.
  • Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payer environments.
  • Experience supporting urology, oncology, or other specialty products administered under the medical benefit.
  • Experience working with private practices, integrated delivery networks, hospitals, health systems, and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed field teams through organizational growth or expansion.

People Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, onboard, lead, and retain a high-performing team of Field Reimbursement Managers.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development priorities aligned with business objectives and service standards.
  • Conduct regular field ride-alongs to observe customer engagements, provide timely coaching, and reinforce reimbursement and account-management best practices.
  • Document coaching observations and create individualized development plans that strengthen core competencies and field effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, address performance gaps, and support succession and talent planning.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture.

Regional Strategy and Execution

  • Translate national market access strategy into regional plans, priorities, and measurable field activities.
  • Lead the team in building reimbursement confidence and supporting appropriate patient access across targeted accounts.
  • Monitor regional performance, customer needs, access barriers, and execution against established objectives and service levels.
  • Use field insights and performance data to identify opportunities, adjust regional tactics, and improve execution.
  • Ensure consistent application of approved resources, processes, and account strategies across the region.
  • Support workforce planning, territory alignment, and resource allocation as business needs evolve.

Cross Functional Leadership

  • Partner with the Vice President of Market Access, National Account Directors, Regional Business Directors, Key Account Directors, Patient Support Services, and other stakeholders to coordinate access and reimbursement initiatives.
  • Provide actionable field insights to leadership regarding payer trends, reimbursement barriers, customer needs, and emerging business risks.
  • Participate in national, regional, and local business meetings and lead regional FRM meetings.
  • Promote effective collaboration between field reimbursement, account management, patient services, sales, and other customer-facing teams while maintaining appropriate role boundaries.
  • Represent the West area in the development and implementation of field tools, training, processes, and strategic initiatives.

Compliance and Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all team activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Reinforce appropriate documentation, customer engagement, data privacy, and escalation practices.
  • Maintain a high standard of operational discipline, including timely reporting, territory planning, and completion of required training and administrative responsibilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
