Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Support the design, development, coordination, and delivery of employee learning and development programs across the organization.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, e-learning content, and other learning resources.
  • Partner with leaders, managers, People Operations, and subject matter experts to understand training needs and translate those needs into effective learning solutions.
  • Support training needs assessments through employee and manager feedback, organizational priorities, performance trends, and other available data.
  • Coordinate leadership and manager development programs, including scheduling, communications, materials, participant management, and facilitation support.
  • Coordinate required compliance and recurring employee training programs, including communication, scheduling, completion tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate additional learning opportunities, including systems training, technical or functional introductory training, and other available in-person or virtual development opportunities.
  • Maintain training calendars, learning records, attendance, completion data, and related documentation.
  • Gather participant feedback and evaluate training effectiveness using surveys, assessments, completion data, performance indicators, and other available metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve training content, delivery methods, processes, and the overall employee learning experience.

New Hire Onboarding

  • Own the operational execution and coordination of Ursa Major’s new hire onboarding program, proactively monitoring upcoming hires and independently managing required activities and deadlines leading up to each employee’s start date.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for new hire readiness, partnering with hiring managers, People Operations, IT, Security, Facilities, and other internal teams to ensure onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage pre-boarding communications with new hires and hiring managers, including manager readiness checklists, first-day communications, schedules, expectations, and other required information.
  • Confirm hiring managers have appropriate first-day plans in place, including team integration, work location, lunch arrangements, and plans following formal onboarding activities.
  • Track new hire setup and readiness across applicable systems and resources.
  • Proactively follow up with responsible teams on outstanding onboarding items and communicate or escalate readiness concerns as appropriate.
  • Coordinate onboarding presenters and schedules. Manage onboarding logistics, including room reservations, calendar invitations, training materials, new hire binders, swag, desk readiness, and other onsite preparation.
  • Support HRIS onboarding activities, including monitoring completion of new hire information and required onboarding steps and completing assigned People Operations actions necessary to move employees through the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Coordinate additional new hire learning experiences, including introductory systems training, available in-person training, facility or operational experiences, and other role-relevant learning opportunities.
  • Provide day-of onboarding support, including preparing training spaces, welcoming new hires, helping employees get settled, facilitating applicable portions of onboarding, and responding to or appropriately directing questions.
  • Partner with presenters and People Operations to continuously improve onboarding schedules, content, materials, and learning experiences.
  • Identify recurring onboarding gaps or readiness issues and recommend process improvements that create a more consistent and effective new hire experience.
  • Support contractor onboarding activities and related processes as assigned.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
