The posting

The USD 454 Burlingame School District is seeking an innovative high school science teacher. The candidate should be well versed in current instructional strategies that challenge students to think and problem-solve at high levels as well as prefer a positive and proactive approach to classroom management. This educator builds positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues and actively collaborates within Professional Learning Communities to analyze data and improve instruction.

Salary Information

First year teaching salary is $47,875 plus benefits for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary is based upon additional learning and experience.

Supplemental sponsorships and coaching positions may be available.

Secondary students have the opportunity to earn dual credits through Allen Community College. Students also have the opportunity to attend and earn a technical degree from Washburn Technical School due to a partnership between the Burlingame School District and Washburn Technical School located in Topeka, Kansas.

The climate of the school district is positive and proactive with the goal of assisting all students to achieve their greatest potential with cutting edge technology and current instructional resources.
