Job Description

The Cluster Sales Manager – Banca will be responsible for expanding USGI Legal Entity's bancassurance footprint within the CG Banca channel. You will oversee a team of four Relationship Managers, cultivate and grow business with Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and KBL branches, and maintain strategic partnerships with bank zones and branches to achieve revenue targets and enhance market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the CG Banca channel to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of four Relationship Managers to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, and KBL branch networks.
  • Coordinate with bank zones and branch heads to align product offerings and promotional activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting bancassurance.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Identify cross‑selling opportunities and drive product penetration across all assigned banks.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with bank partners to secure favorable distribution arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in bancassurance sales or insurance distribution.
  • Proven track record of managing a sales team and achieving revenue targets.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Indian banking landscape, especially Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, and KBL.
  • Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills with senior bank officials.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines in the insurance sector.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across bank branches and zones.
