Job Description

USGI Legal Entity seeks a dynamic Relationship Manager‑Banca to drive bancassurance growth across 21 branches in Birbhum district. The candidate will manage rural, semi‑urban and urban outlets, develop cross‑selling strategies, and achieve a regional business potential of 4‑5 Lakhs. The role has been vacant for seven months, requiring a self‑starter with a two‑wheeler for frequent travel and the ability to operate effectively with limited manpower against competitors such as Chola MS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute bancassurance sales plans to meet the ₹4‑5 Lakh regional target.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with branch managers and local business partners.
  • Identify and onboard new corporate and individual clients across rural and semi‑urban areas.
  • Conduct regular field visits using a two‑wheeler to monitor branch performance and client needs.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities, including Chola MS, to adjust strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management.
  • Train branch staff on bancassurance products and cross‑selling techniques.
  • Resolve client issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in bancassurance or relationship management.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in rural/semi‑urban markets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel daily with a personal two‑wheeler.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and banking procedures.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in Bengali and English; Hindi is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
