Job Description

The Relationship Manager – SME & Insurance Inclusion will lead the development and management of broker partnerships and IRDA‑registered agent recruitment, with a strong focus on small and medium enterprises. You will coordinate non‑motor insurance proposal processing, ensure compliance, and support the growth of inclusive insurance solutions across the SME segment.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with insurance brokers serving SME clients.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor IRDA‑registered agents aligned with SME insurance goals.
  • Manage end‑to‑end handling of non‑motor insurance proposals, from quotation to issuance.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and product teams to tailor offerings for SME needs.
  • Monitor broker and agent performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with IRDA regulations and internal policy standards.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging SME insurance opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on broker/agent activity, proposal pipelines, and sales outcomes.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for brokers and agents on product knowledge.
  • Support cross‑functional initiatives to enhance insurance inclusion for SMEs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing broker relationships and IRDA agent recruitment, preferably in SME‑centric environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with non‑motor insurance proposal processing.
  • Strong understanding of IRDA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with external partners.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain long‑term business relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data‑driven performance tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Proficiency in CRM and insurance management software.
  • Customer‑focused attitude with a passion for financial inclusion.
