•El planeador Senior supervisa y ayuda a organizar las ventas de la empresa para asegura de que las fechas de cumplimiento de pedidos y programas de producción sean realistas. •Los inventarios y materias primas de la empresa sean administrados por el planeador senior y trabaja en estrecha colaboración con el departamentos de PM, compras y clientes. Cerrar gestión de inventario permite al planeador Senior realizar un seguimiento de los suministros para evitar la escasez que podrían causar retrasos en la producción. •En situaciones en las que se producen retrasos, el planeador senior trabaja con todos los departamentos de la empresa para encontrar soluciones y recuperar el tiempo perdido. Sirve como un puente de comunicación dentro de la empresa, incluyendo la conexión de dirección y el personal de producción mediante reuniones, informes, reportes y el intercambio de ideas entre diferentes departamento de la empresa asi como con el cliente. • Es responsable de todos los aspectos de la programación, como previsión de la demanda de los clientes asignados, el planeador senior planifica la producción, y la planificación de inventario asi como de los materiales a corto y mediano plazo. • Si hay alguna restricción de capacidad debido a los equipos, se verá al planeador senior para analizar posibles soluciones como hacer uso de la demanda para producir anticipadamente o trabajar con el equipo para obtener soporte adicional. Si hay una restricción de capacidad debido a la falta de recursos humanos, el planeador senior también puede tener que hacer uso de la demanda o el horario de fin de semana y las horas extraordinarias de trabajo para cumplir con el plan de producción global. • Si hay restricciones de materiales, los identifica con meses de anticipación y trabaja con el departamento de compras y el cliente para solucionarlos. • Busca y propone alternativas de componentes para propornerlos al cliente y evitar paros de línea. • Analiza fluctuaciones de demanda y posibles restricciones de materiales para proponer soluciones internas y al cliente. • Realiza análisis de impacto y negocia con los clientes pago de PPV o balanceo de demanda.
