Job Description

The Senior Process Specialist applies engineering techniques to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. This hands-on role focuses on continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, improve reliability, and enhance workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement process modifications to improve product quality, reduce costs, increase reliability, and enhance safety.
  • Apply engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and assist with corrective actions.
  • Recommend manufacturing equipment and processes that promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
  • Prepare reports documenting process improvements, findings, and results.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Lead complex process improvement initiatives with a high degree of independence.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert and provide leadership on operational challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or a related technical field.
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage complex technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
