KUOW has an outstanding opportunity for a Digital Project Manager to join their team.

About this Opportunity

Reporting to KUOW’s Product Manager, Digital Media Products, the Digital Project Manager is responsible for coordinating KUOW’s technology projects from planning through implementation and evaluation. The position defines project goals, scope, schedules, stakeholders, risks, success measures, and communication plans. The position coordinates work across participating teams, tracks progress and supports successful launches and post-project reviews.

The position serves as a central point of coordination among KUOW leadership, editorial and business teams, and external partners. The role requires independent judgment, organization, analysis, and clear communication to move projects forward in a range of environments. Candidates may bring experience from technology, public media, communications, nonprofit, or other project-based settings, along with the ability to apply Scrum or other structured project-management approaches as appropriate.

The ideal Digital Project Manager is an organized, collaborative project professional who brings structure to complex work and helps teams turn priorities into clear, achievable plans. Candidates may come from technology, operations, communications, public media, nonprofit, government, or other project-management environments and should be comfortable working with people in different roles and with varying levels of project experience. The Digital Project Manager helps KUOW teams create realistic sprint and quarterly plans, maintain a shared understanding of priorities and capacity, keep projects organized and moving, identify risks and obstacles early, coordinate follow-up, and communicate clearly with leads, participating staff, and leadership.

This role is suitable for remote work.

· Sprint planning and Scrum practices (25%). Lead sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and related meetings, as appropriate. Track progress toward sprint goals and identify obstacles. Use Scrum and other iterative project-management practices to organize and track work. Coordinate quarterly planning processes that help KUOW teams evaluate priorities, available capacity, ongoing commitments, and proposed projects.

· Stakeholder coordination and communication (20%). Identify stakeholder roles, decision points, communication needs, and potential conflicts. Establish meeting and reporting practices appropriate to each project. Prepare meeting agendas and project status updates. Document decisions and action items and communicate progress to project teams.

· Project evaluation and implementation readiness (15%). Work with leads and participating teams to clarify project goals, scope, expected outcomes, timing, affected groups, dependencies, risks, and measures of success. Prepare information to support project approval, deferral, revision, or rejection by the appropriate decision-makers. Once a project is approved, coordinate project management norms and team expectations, such as communications, training, testing, implementation planning, and launch preparation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
