In particular, this position will contribute to a novel research program which harnesses new connectome data for Drosophila with biomechanical data to create an in silico model of the organism, revealing feedback between the body and nervous system that informs organism function. Work will include creating new models across a variety of platforms (including MuJoCo and Python), and also leading junior colleagues to integrate novel software components to existing infrastructure. This role will contribute to ideating new research questions and integrating projects and team members to conduct novel research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce novel computational models of biological systems (e.g. MuJoCo, MJX, Blender, aerodynamic modeling approaches) 30%
  • Apply machine learning and data science expertise (e.g. Python, optimization strategies, RL) 30%
  • Research question design and literature review, with focus on Drosophila biomechanics and neuroscience 10%
  • Manuscript writing and figure preparation 10%

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
