About the role
BridgeAthletic is the training prescription platform behind thousands of strength & conditioning programs from collegiate athletics, pro teams, military, and private performance facilities.
As part of VALD, we're building a closed loop in athlete management, bringing measurement, training prescription, and adaptation closer together.
This role focuses on the core BridgeAthletic experience: the day-to-day workflow coaches use to program, prescribe and manage training for their athletes. You'll work closely with engineering, design and other teams to take ideas from problem to shipped product.
In this role, you will
- Own projects from start to finish. You write the requirements, run the rhythm with engineering, manage scope in-flight, and keep projects moving through to release.
- Turn problems into solutions. The roadmap will give you the problem and priority. You'll work out the right solution, think through edge cases and trade-offs, and make sure the final product works in the real world.
- Own launches. Make sure releases are ready, documentation and internal teams are prepared, and measure what happens after launch. Shipping is only the start; we care about whether people use what we build.
- Help shape the roadmap. Analyze user feedback and usage data to recommend what we should build next.
- Learn the domain. Build a strong understanding of strength & conditioning and how coaches actually work day to day.
Is this you?
- 3+ years in product management, ideally building B2B SaaS products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate requirements, decisions and ideas in a way that teams can easily understand.
- Strong execution skills, with a track record of keeping projects moving, spotting risks early and raising issues before they become problems.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on thinking through edge cases before they reach QA or customers.
- A data-driven approach, using product data to inform decisions and questioning the numbers when something doesn't look right.
- Strong prioritisation and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep teams aligned.
- Genuine curiosity about the domain, with an interest in understanding how coaches work and why, even if you don't have a strength & conditioning background today.
- A growth mindset aligned with VALD’s culture of continuous learning and development.
- Nice to have: a background in coaching, sport science, or competitive athletics.
We recognise that not all applicants will have the skills that match a job description exactly. VALD's best asset is not our technology, but our people and culture. We choose people based on how well we think they will work in the VALD team.
If you’re passionate about building impactful products and want to be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
Diversity & Inclusion Commitment VALD’s best asset is not our technology but our people and culture. A culture of inclusion and diversity is critical to our business. We are committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and embracing diversity, including gender, nationality, disability, age, marital/parental status, ethnicity, gender identity, socioeconomic background and sexual orientation.
