DESCRIPTION DU POSTE:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

You will join our Corporate Finance team of five at our Montreal headquarters and report to the Corporate Finance Director. In this role, you will own cash, bank and balance sheet reconciliations at HQ and keep the daily books accurate. You will work closely with the Treasury, Data and Compliance & Reporting teams, as well as the finance teams of our groups, on accounting, the month-end close, intercompany activity and budgeting across our portfolio. Our team uses AI every day to automate and improve how finance works, and you will use and build AI tools to make our processes faster and more reliable. If you're curious and like to dig into the details, you'll fit right in.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Apply customer and intercompany receipts daily, and reconcile HQ and group bank accounts.

· Work closely with the treasury team on cash accounting, and make sure cash controls are followed.

· Post daily journal entries, including acquisition entries, accruals and reclasses.

· Manage AR: invoicing, aging, collection follow-ups with the groups, credit memos and disputes.

· Track and clear intercompany loans and interest.

· Support AP and billing: vendor bills, PO matching, vendor statements, payment runs and expense reports.

· Assist in closing the accounts at month-end and year-end, and prepare audit schedules.

· Reconcile HQ balance sheet accounts monthly and clear old items.

· Write clear guidelines and instructions for the groups, and improve HQ processes.

· Use and build AI tools and small applications to automate reconciliations and reporting.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Degree in accounting or finance.

· 2 to 4 years of accounting experience in GL, reconciliations, AR or AP.

· Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, and advanced Excel skills.

· Strong interest in AI tools and automation.

· Clear writing, attention to detail, and discipline in following up.

· French and English, spoken and written (you will work with groups across North America, Europe and Australia).

ADDITIONAL or PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· CPA completed or in progress.

· Knowledge of Python, SQL or Power BI.

· Multi-entity, multi-currency and intercompany experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
