JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for running the Bank’s more complex, high-stakes projects end-to-end and helping govern the broader project portfolio. They will support strategic technology, product, and regulatory initiatives through disciplined project management practices. The Project Manager will define clear requirements and success criteria, ensure vendor accountability, and drive quality execution through implementation and rollout.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Owns delivery of cross-functional projects across the full life cycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closing, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, and risks, and reporting real status with clear escalation of decisions and impacts.
  • Elicits, documents, and validates business and technical requirements; map current- and future-state processes; ensure exception cases are covered; and define acceptance criteria, test coverage, and a clear Definition of Done so initiatives are delivered correctly and on time.
  • Translates business needs into clear expectations for third-party providers, coordinate delivery against those expectations, and hold vendors accountable for scope, quality, testing, and rollout readiness.
  • Plans and coordinates implementation, cutover, and handoff to operations, proactively identifying downstream impacts to other teams to avoid unplanned rework.
  • Establishes and continuously improves a repeatable, lightweight project-management playbook, including scope, milestone schedules, status reporting, and change and decision logs, and apply it consistently across the portfolio.
  • Supports portfolio governance by providing accurate status, milestones, dependencies, and risks; validate stage-gate and Definition-of-Done quality on projects led by others; and surface issues that require leadership attention.
  • Ensures initiatives incorporate risk, information security, compliance, and third-party considerations, and that project artifacts meet regulatory and audit expectations.
  • Applies approved AI tools to accelerate requirements, test cases, documentation, and reporting, directing the tools well and applying professional judgment to catch gaps and errors rather than relying on them for decisions.
  • Models strong project-management practice for SMEs and future hires and act as a resource for the team, supporting the PMO’s development of internal project-management capability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field required OR a combination of equivalent, relevant work experience along with a high school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience required, including at least 3 years leading complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end (owning scope, schedule, dependencies, risk, and rollout), with demonstrated business-analysis and vendor-management responsibility.
  • Experience delivering projects in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry, or in a larger, more mature corporate environment with comparable rigor.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit and document requirements, define acceptance criteria and test coverage, and translate business needs for technical and vendor teams.
  • Proven experience managing third-party or vendor-delivered work and holding providers accountable for quality and outcomes.
  • Ability to create and apply repeatable, lightweight project-management practices, not only execute within an existing framework.
  • Comfort using AI and productivity tools to accelerate project and requirements work, with the judgment to validate outputs and identify gaps.
  • Effective in a lean, built-from-scratch environment; able to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn and utilize custom banking systems and applications in a rapidly changing business and technology environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
