Please review the job details below.

Vantor is seeking an experienced Mission Support & Enablement Manager to serve as a senior, in-country customer-facing representative supporting the successful deployment, adoption, and operational use of advanced space-based and geospatial intelligence capabilities.

Based in the Middle East/Caucasus region, this individual will work directly with government stakeholders to ensure Vantor capabilities are effectively integrated into customer missions and workflows.

The ideal candidate combines strong program management experience with practical knowledge of space, satellite imagery, GEOINT, and intelligence operations. This role requires an individual who can operate independently in an international environment, build trusted customer relationships, coordinate technical and operational resources, and translate customer mission requirements into actionable plans.

This is not solely a technical support position. The Mission Support & Enablement Manager will serve as the primary bridge between the customer, Vantor program leadership, technical teams, product specialists, and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Mission Support & Enablement

  • Serve as a primary in-country Vantor representative and trusted advisor to customer leadership, analysts, operators, and mission stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer missions, intelligence priorities, operational requirements, and workflows.
  • Help customers maximize the operational value and utilization of Vantor capabilities.
  • Translate customer mission requirements and operational challenges into actionable requirements for Vantor technical, product, and program teams.
  • Support the development and implementation of customer workflows incorporating satellite imagery, GEOINT, tasking, analytics, and other spatial intelligence capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer workflows, mission effectiveness, and adoption of Vantor capabilities.
  • Provide hands-on operational mentoring and facilitate knowledge transfer to customer personnel.

Program Management

  • Manage day-to-day execution of in-country mission support activities.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, priorities, action items, milestones, risks, and customer deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities across Vantor program management, operations, engineering, product, training, and intelligence subject matter experts.
  • Track customer requirements and ensure issues and requests are appropriately prioritized, communicated, and resolved.
  • Provide regular program and operational updates to customer and Vantor leadership.
  • Anticipate program risks, customer concerns, and operational dependencies and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-through on commitments and ensure customer expectations are appropriately managed.

Space, GEOINT & Intelligence Operations

  • Apply working knowledge of commercial satellite operations, imagery collection, satellite tasking, and imagery delivery to customer missions.
  • Support customer understanding and operational use of electro-optical (EO) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery.
  • Assist customers in developing collection strategies based on mission priorities, areas of interest, timeliness, and operational requirements.
  • Help integrate satellite imagery, geospatial data, analytics, and other intelligence sources into operational workflows.
  • Understand intelligence processes sufficiently to communicate effectively with intelligence analysts, collection managers, operational planners, and senior government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Vantor subject matter experts when deeper technical, analytical, engineering, or product expertise is required.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across customer organizations, from operational users through senior leadership.
  • Conduct regular customer engagements, mission reviews, working sessions, and program status discussions.
  • Communicate complex technical and operational concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Represent Vantor professionally and effectively in high-visibility government and defense environments.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of customer priorities, organizational dynamics, and emerging mission requirements.
  • Ensure customer feedback and operational lessons learned are communicated back into Vantor.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant professional experience in program management, mission management, operations, or customer-facing delivery, preferably supporting government, defense, intelligence, aerospace, or national security customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, technical teams, and operational requirements.
  • Experience working with space, satellite, remote sensing, GEOINT, or Earth observation capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of satellite imagery collection and tasking concepts.
  • Experience within or supporting the defense, intelligence, or national security community.
  • Understanding of intelligence workflows, including collection requirements, analysis, operational planning, and intelligence dissemination.
  • Proven experience working directly with senior government, military, intelligence, or defense customers.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, briefing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate between customer mission requirements and technical/product organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive activities to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with limited day-to-day supervision while maintaining strong communication with geographically dispersed leadership and technical teams.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, cultural awareness, and professionalism.
  • Ability and willingness to reside and work in the Middle East/Caucasus region and travel throughout the region and internationally as required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military, intelligence community, defense, aerospace, or national-security experience.
  • Experience supporting a Ministry of Defense, intelligence service, combatant command, joint staff, or similar government organization.
  • Knowledge of GEOINT, imagery intelligence (IMINT), remote sensing, and collection management.
  • Familiarity with commercial high-resolution satellite imagery and satellite tasking operations.
  • Experience with both electro-optical (EO) and SAR imagery.
  • Familiarity with GIS and geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or comparable systems.
  • Experience supporting deployment or adoption of advanced technology within operational government environments.
  • Experience conducting customer training, operational demonstrations, exercises, or mission rehearsals.
  • International program experience, particularly in the Middle East, Caucasus, Central Asia, or surrounding regions.
  • Existing understanding of regional defense and security environments is highly desirable.
  • Graduate degree, formal program management certification (PMP or equivalent), or relevant military/professional education is preferred.

Key Attributes for Success

The successful candidate will be:

  • Mission focused – understands that technology must ultimately solve an operational or intelligence problem.
  • Customer oriented – builds credibility and trusted relationships while appropriately representing Vantor.
  • Independent – comfortable operating remotely and making sound decisions without continuous supervision.
  • Proactive – identifies requirements, problems, and opportunities before they become urgent.
  • Technically credible – understands space, satellite, GEOINT, and intelligence concepts sufficiently to engage sophisticated customers and technical teams.
  • An outstanding communicator – capable of engaging effectively with analysts, engineers, military officers, government officials, executives, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Adaptable – comfortable working across cultures, organizations, time zones, and rapidly changing mission priorities.
  • Collaborative – knows when and how to bring Vantor technical and subject matter experts into customer engagements.
  • Execution oriented – takes ownership of requirements and commitments and drives them through completion.

Location & Travel

This is an in-country / regionally based position in the Middle East and Caucasus, with significant direct engagement at customer locations. The position requires flexibility to travel regionally and internationally and to support customer mission requirements outside traditional business hours when necessary.

The role requires an individual who is comfortable serving as a highly visible Vantor representative while operating with substantial independence in an international defense and intelligence environment.

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
