*Be Part of Our Success Story as We Expand and Evolve*

Purpose:

As an Electromechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for the design, development, and realization of electrical hardware solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and other high-tech systems. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, you translate system and subsystem requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective electrical designs using EPLAN as the primary engineering platform.

You design and integrate electrical cabinets, racks, wiring and cable assemblies, electrical schematics, I/O architectures, and electromechanical components, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical, mechatronic, and control systems. Throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design to integration, verification, qualification, and production release, you contribute to delivering robust, high-performance machine solutions that meet customer and industry requirements.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical and electromechanical designs based on defined system requirements, machine architecture and project objectives.
  • Translate system and subsystem requirements into electrical architectures, schematics, I/O definitions, wiring concepts and technical interfaces.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable documentation, I/O overviews and related engineering documentation using EPLAN.
  • Design electrical cabinets, control panels and electronic racks, including component layout, internal wiring, electrical interfaces and integration requirements.
  • Select and specify electrical and electromechanical components such as power supplies, circuit protection devices, relays, contactors, connectors, sensors, actuators, motors, drives, I/O modules and related hardware.
  • Develop cable and wiring solutions, including cable specifications, connector selection, pin assignments, routing requirements and interface definitions.
  • Define and maintain I/O overviews and electrical interfaces between sensors, actuators, drives, electrical hardware and machine-control systems.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, mechatronic and system engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical hardware, cabinets, cables, I/O, drives and other electromechanical components into the overall machine design.
  • Apply electrical engineering standards, machine safety principles, and support the implementation of safety circuits and safety-related hardware.
  • Perform electrical engineering calculations and technical assessments to support component selection, power distribution, circuit protection and electrical design decisions
  • Create and maintain complete and structured engineering documentation to support design reviews, manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation and service.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and structured technical problem-solving activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support electrical system integration, testing, debugging, commissioning, verification and qualification activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues during development, machine integration and production ramp-up, working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams.
  • Release electrical designs and related engineering documentation for production and contribute to the standardization, reuse and continuous improvement of electrical architectures, EPLAN libraries, component selections and engineering methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical or electromechanical design for industrial machinery, automation equipment, semiconductor equipment or other high-tech systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, including electrical schematics, cabling, connectors, power distribution, circuit protection, I/O systems and electrical interfaces.
  • Good knowledge of industrial electrical and electromechanical components including sensors, actuators, power supplies, relays, contactors, circuit protection devices and industrial I/O.
  • Experience with electrical CAD/CAE systems; experience with EPLAN Electric P8 is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with electrical cabinet, rack, cable and wiring design, including component selection, connectors, electrical interfaces and integration considerations.
  • Experience with semiconductor equipment, precision engineering systems or other high-tech capital equipment is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment, industrial communication systems, drives and motion-control systems.
  • Affinity with hands-on engineering, manufacturing and product realization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to engineering challenges.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
