This role monitors supplier performance, manages material availability, drives cost optimization, and supports new product introductions (NPI) and product lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently, taking ownership of responsibilities, and collaborating effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

This is a remote position based in the Pacific or Central time zone, with 10% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Server as a primary point of contact for external suppliers and partners to coordinate procurement activities, delivery schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance against key metrics, including quality, cost, on-time delivery, lead times, and responsiveness. Support supplier scorecards, performance reviews, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Coordinate procurement of hardware appliances, components, accessories, and related services, including purchase order processing, supplier acknowledgments, order tracking, and delivery follow-ups.
  • Monitor demand forecasts, inventory levels, replenishment requirements, and supplier capacity to support material availability, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Identify and track material shortages, supply constraints, and delivery delays. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and minimize fulfillment disruptions.
  • Review supplier pricing, purchase price variances, and procurement costs to identify potential cost savings, cost avoidance, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support supply chain readiness for new product introductions, including component sourcing, bill of materials (BOM) reviews, material availability, supplier coordination, and production ramp-up.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities related to new SKU setup, engineering changes, product revisions, end-of-sale (EOS), end-of-life (EOL), and component obsolescence.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, and Product Management to support supply chain execution and customer fulfillment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, material, pricing, and procurement records. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process standardization, reporting, and automation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or supplier management in a technology or hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing supplier performance, sourcing and purchasing activities, and supply continuity issues.
  • Working knowledge of NPI processes, bills of materials, inventory planning, component lead times, and product lifecycle changes.
  • Ability to evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate commercial terms, analyze costs, and prioritize competing operational needs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, cross-functional communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams, and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, or electronics distributors
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, or other ERP and procurement platforms.
  • Understanding of global supply chains and coordination of hardware offerings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
