About the role

Veeam's Competitive Intelligence department is seeking a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager to expand our coverage of the competition and help us gain market share in data and AI security markets. You will own all tasks related to the markets and competitors you cover, including gathering, analyzing, and delivering factual, unbiased, and actionable competitive insight and resources. You will provide competitive support to a broad set of technical and non-technical stakeholders worldwide, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Pricing, Leadership, partners, and customers.

What you will do

  • Own and drive adoption of Competitive Intelligence for DataAI trust use cases (e.g., data classification, data governance, ROT data remediation, regulatory compliance, identity security, privacy management, AI security), and extend coverage to the next markets Veeam enters
  • Define which competitors to cover, which resources to provide, and which competitive strategies to implement, based on market and stakeholder needs
  • Research competitors' technology, positioning, sales tactics, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses, and turn findings into actionable intelligence and strategies to win
  • Develop and maintain competitive messaging, resources, and competitive take out strategy
  • Build and maintain Competitive Intelligence AI chatbots, agents, and applications
  • Support the win/loss analysis program
  • Train and enable stakeholders on competitive insight and tools, and help Sales differentiate Veeam in highly competitive opportunities
  • Support Marketing, Pricing, Product, and Executives with competitive analyses, and alert leadership to competitive opportunities and threats

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of Competitive Intelligence in a B2B company
  • 3+ years in the data security posture management (data classification, data governance), data access governance, privacy management, or AI security industry, with a strong understanding of market trends, vendors, and technologies
  • Hands-on technical and product experience: designing, implementing, managing, or supporting software or SaaS, ideally in data security or data resilience, plus the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English for both technical and non-technical audiences, with a proven ability to autonomously write Sales, partner, and customer-facing documents
  • Strategic thinking, strong research methodology, ethics, an analytical mindset, information synthesis skills, and the ability to team up cross-functionally
  • Bachelor's degree in Competitive Intelligence, Marketing, Software Engineering, Product Management, or equivalent work experience

Bonus:

  • 1+ years in Sales, Product Marketing, or Product Management
  • Experience publishing Competitive Intelligence AI agents or apps internally at previous companies, used by Sales reps, Marketing, Product Management, or Executives

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
