Company Description
We were early to the fight against Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance, and we’ve been pushing the edge ever since.
Our mission is to help government and enterprise organizations understand and manage commercial data risks, shape their digital signatures, and operate with confidence in an increasingly complex information landscape. We build and integrate advanced, tech-forward solutions to problems our customers often don’t know they have – until it matters most.
We move fast, think critically, and deliver where it counts.
What’s in it for you?
We work hard and do fun things.
You’ll work on high-impact, technically challenging problems alongside a team that values teamwork over competition. Veilant offers a solid work-life balance and flexible remote work options. At Veilant, you’ll work with the most talented software developers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, building tools and systems that make a real difference.
Job Description
Why This Role Exists
Veilant works with national security customers who need technology to perform in real operational environments.
Our work does not end when a solution is built. It has to be configured, deployed, supported, taught, troubleshot, and improved based on what happens in the field.
That is where you come in.
You will help connect our technology, our customers, and our internal teams to make sure solutions work where they are actually needed.
The Work
This is a hands on technical role where you'll help deliver, troubleshoot, and support technology for national security customers. You'll work alongside experienced teammates while taking ownership of technical challenges and growing your delivery experience.
You will:
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, networks, devices, laptops, and related technical infrastructure
- Lead device imaging, software installation, hardening, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Support technical delivery from planning and setup through execution, teardown, and after action reporting
- Work directly with customers during training, technical exercises, field support, and short term deployments
- Coordinate across technical, program, field service, and customer experience teams
- Help improve Programs of Instruction, technical exercises, field support processes, and delivery procedures
- Bring customer and field feedback back to the teams that can act on it
If something fails, we want you helping fix it.
If it keeps failing, we want you figuring out why.
If there is a better way to deliver the solution, we want you helping us find it.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first six months, you should be able to:
- Confidently support Veilant technologies in customer and field environments
- Independently configure, maintain, and troubleshoot customer facing solutions
- Support technical delivery from planning through execution
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams
- Identify technical or operational problems and help move them toward solutions
- Improve processes, training, or technical delivery practices used by the team
- Help define how we measure effective customer delivery
Qualifications
What You Need
You should have the following to qualify for this role:
- An active Secret security clearance
- We're looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who enjoys solving problems and wants to continue developing their skills. Whether your experience comes from military service, field operations, systems engineering, or technical support, what matters most is what you can actually do.
- Hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, networks, and data routing
- Hands on experience with device and laptop configuration, including imaging, software installation, hardening, maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience supporting technical delivery, field service, technology consulting, or customer facing technical operations
- Experience supporting customers within at least one of the following communities: U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of War, or U.S. Federal Law Enforcement
- Experience working across technical and nontechnical teams to solve problems and deliver technical solutions
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information through briefings, written reports, and direct customer interaction
- Experience identifying technical or operational problems and helping improve how solutions are delivered or supported
- Willingness to support training, technical exercises, and short-term deployments as needed for the customer mission
We care more about the depth of what you have actually done than an arbitrary number of years doing it.
What Would Make You Stand Out
These are valuable, but they are not required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience supporting more than one of the following communities: Intelligence Community, Department of War, or Federal Law Enforcement
- Experience supporting operations in a deployed environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- PMP, CAPM, or another relevant program or project management certification
- Technical training or certifications in cybersecurity, electronic warfare, tactical communications, SIGINT, OSINT, information technology, ISR, information operations, technical analysis, or a related area
If you meet the core requirements but do not have everything in this section, we still want to hear from you.
This Role May Not Be For You If
This role is onsite in Tysons and is not designed for remote work.
You will be expected to work directly with the technology, troubleshoot problems, support customers, and occasionally deploy for short periods when the mission requires it.
The work crosses team boundaries, so you should be comfortable collaborating across technical teams, program teams, field services, and customers.
Additional Information
Why This Work Matters
Technology only creates value when customers can actually use it.
You will help make sure Veilant solutions work where our customers need them, while bringing lessons from the field back into the company so we can continue improving how we build, deliver, and support our technology.
What Happens After You Apply
Our recruiting team will walk you through the role, the customer environment, the team, and what to expect from the interview process.
You will also have time to ask questions about the technology, field expectations, deployment requirements, and what success looks like so you can decide whether the opportunity is right for you.
