We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist I to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple states. Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll, including California payroll Review timesheets, payroll inputs, and supporting documentation for accuracy Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and resolve payroll discrepancies Process employee payroll changes including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and deductions Maintain payroll records, employee data, taxes, garnishments, and direct deposits Serve as a primary contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee information and payroll compliance Support payroll reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and compensation data
What We're Looking For
2+ years of payroll processing experience Experience with California and multi-state payroll Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxes, deductions, and wage & hour regulations Proficiency with payroll systems such as Dayforce, UKG Pro, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational, analytical, and customer service skills Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
