THE OPPORTUNITY IN A NUTSHELL
You? A proactive, experienced iOS developer with a dual-platform mindset. While iOS is your core expertise, hands-on experience with Android (or a genuine motivation to pick it up) is a big plus. You are passionate about crafting mobile user journeys, taking ownership of large-scale initiatives, and empowering the developers around you.
Role? A key senior role leading our effort to bring FINN Travel (FINN Reise) into the FINN app. You will build the foundation for our mobile presence while helping set up AI-assisted workflows and frameworks that enable web developers in the team to contribute smoothly to app development.
Tech stack? Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Package Manager, MVVM, UIKit, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, RESTful APIs, async/await, GitHub Actions.

WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for a senior engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is ready to take charge of our mobile initiative:
- iOS expertise with dual-platform mindset: Hands-on experience building and shipping production-quality iOS applications using Swift/SwiftUI. Experience with Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose) is a strong plus, or a genuine interest in picking it up to help us cover both platforms over time.
- Strong architectural foundation: Deep familiarity with iOS modular architecture, MVVM, SPM, REST APIs, async/await, Coroutines, Dependency Injection, and server-driven UI. Familiarity with Android development principles is a definite advantage.
- Mentorship & knowledge sharing: A team-first mindset. You enjoy guiding web developers with no prior mobile background, helping set up clear processes and AI-driven workflows that allow them to learn and contribute without requiring 1:1 supervision at all times.
- Proactive driver & product owner: Initiative-driven with a strong focus on native mobile user journeys. You don't wait for detailed JIRA tickets; you see what needs to be done, start discussions, and lead major projects from concept to delivery.
- Growth mindset & AI enthusiasm: Eagerness to adopt state-of-the-art AI tools in software engineering workflows to boost efficiency and experiment with new features.
- Collaborative approach: Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with PMs, UX, engineers, and the broader app community in Vend.
WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

As our Senior App Developer in Travel, you will be the driving force behind integrating the Travel domain into the FINN native app. Today, Travel e-commerce experiences (Flights, Hotels, Pre Packaged, Last Minute, Car Rentals, and Vacation Rentals) exist on web platforms. You will own setting up the architecture and technical foundation for Travel within Vend’s shared mobile codebase, ensuring a scalable and clean setup aligned with our existing playbooks and guidelines.
- Building scalable mobile services: Architect, build, and scale Travel features for both iOS and Android within our modular codebase, ensuring seamless integration with the FINN app ecosystem.
- Establishing processes & supporting web developers: Define how we develop for mobile in Travel. You will set up the workflows, documentation, and AI tooling that enable web developers in the team to expand into mobile and build high-quality app features efficiently.
- Cross-functional & community collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and engineers across our two Travel teams, while syncing regularly with app developers across the Vend organization.

As our first app developer, you’ll lead the integration of Travel into FINN's existing mobile app. Working within FINN’s established architecture and design system, your challenge is finding the optimal way to build out our travel domain within these shared frameworks.
