The posting
Veo is an AI-powered sports camera and analysis ecosystem built for one job: turning what happens on a pitch into proof. Capture, viewing, data and analytics, sharing- all in one system, all pointed at the same thing.
That's bigger than football. Every player, on every pitch, gets access to the kind of proof only the top academies used to keep for themselves. It's the future we're building.
Every youth match still has a moment nobody saw. A run that won the game, underneath everyone's radar. A kid written off before anyone actually checked. We exist to close that gap, one match at a time.
One camera on any pitch feeds an AI that tracks every player and the ball for the whole game, turning what happened into evidence instead of somebody's opinion.
That's the actual job here. Not shipping features. Building the system that gives proof to someone who used to rely on a hunch.
If you've ever watched a match and wondered who else saw what you saw, you already know why this matters.
We're looking for people who want to build that future with us.
The Opportunity
Veo processes thousands of hours of sports video daily, powering AI analysis for teams from grassroots to professional levels. The infrastructure you build will directly enable coaches and athletes worldwide to analyze, train, and compete better.
We're building KickOff, our next-generation GitOps platform. You'll join during a pivotal moment: we're actively migrating services to KickOff, establishing new platform patterns and enabling 100+ engineers to ship faster and more reliably. We also maintain separate on-premises Kubernetes clusters running model training and video processing workloads.
This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. You'll shape platform architecture, drive technical decisions, and directly impact engineering velocity across both cloud and on-prem environments.
What You Will Do
- Evolve KickOff (our GitOps platform) to improve developer experience.
- Support service migrations to KickOff, partnering with product teams.
- Maintain and optimize KickOff on AWS EKS.
- Manage our on-premises Kubernetes clusters running ML training workloads.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability using LGTM.
- Debug distributed systems spanning multiple environments.
- Create documentation and tooling that makes infrastructure approachable
What You Could Bring
- Production Kubernetes: You've operated K8s in production and understand the operational reality, not just tutorials.
- Platform-as-product mindset: You've built internal tooling that real teams use, gathered feedback, and measured impact on productivity.
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong Terraform, Crossplane, or similar experience.
- Observability: You've implemented monitoring and alerting that helps teams operate confidently.
- Security awareness: You know how to embed security into platform design without slowing teams down.
- Problem-solving: You debug complex distributed systems and design practical solutions.
- Collaboration: You work through discussion and feedback, share context effectively.
