De job

Binnen R&D bepaal je de softwarearchitectuur voor een nieuwe generatie geconnecteerde, intelligente hardwareproducten. Je combineert diepgaande technische beslissingen met leiderschap over het ontwikkelproces:

  • Je ontwerpt de firmwarearchitectuur voor apparaatsturingen en IoT modules, met focus op realtime performantie, geheugenlimieten, low power werking en cybersecurity.
  • Je zet de technische visie uit voor draadloze en bekabelde protocollen (zoals Bluetooth Low Energy, Matter, Zigbee, CAN en Modbus) en de integratie met mobiele applicaties en cloudplatformen.
  • Je stuurt externe softwarepartners inhoudelijk aan, bewaakt standaarden en keurt deliverables goed via grondige code reviews en acceptatietesten.
  • Je coacht lokale engineers, optimaliseert interne CI en testpipelines, en vormt het inhoudelijke aanspreekpunt voor hardware engineering en product management.
  • Je leidt diepgaande analyses bij complexe interactieproblemen tussen elektronica en software.

Jouw Profiel

  • Master in Elektrotechniek, Computer Science, Elektronica ICT of Industriële Wetenschappen.
  • Ruime praktijkervaring met C en C++ ontwikkeling op 32 bit microcontrollers (zoals ARM Cortex M of Renesas) en RTOS omgevingen (zoals FreeRTOS of Zephyr).
  • Ervaring met IoT connectiviteit of industriële veldbussen.
  • Vertrouwd met hardware debugging: je leest vlot schema's, meet signalen door met oscilloscopen en bouwt geautomatiseerde testscripts op met Python.
  • Ervaring als Tech Lead of Architect: je stuurt externe leveranciers aan op inhoud en kwaliteit, en weet collega's inhoudelijk te inspireren.
  • Vloeiend in het Engels. Kennis van het Nederlands is een pluspunt.
  • Woonachtig in België. Je beschikt over een geldige werkvergunning voor ons land.
