Als R&D Project Manager Connected Computing ben jij de brug tussen complexe technologische innovatie en strakke projectuitvoering. In deze tijdelijke consultancy-opdracht stuur je spraakmakende R&D-trajecten aan binnen de domeinen van geavanceerde systeemarchitectuur en connected computing. Je combineert inhoudelijk inzicht met een pragmatische projectmanagement-aanpak om strategische onderzoeksdoelstellingen om te zetten in tastbare resultaten.

Jouw uitdaging & verantwoordelijkheden

  • Scope & Framing: Je brengt de projectvereisten en de precieze scope haarscherp in kaart voordat het project formeel van start gaat. Gedurende de looptijd bewaak je deze scope alert en beheer je wijzigingen (change management).
  • Planning & WBS: Je vertaalt een high-level visie samen met het multidisciplinaire R&D-team naar een gedetailleerde Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) op taakniveau.
  • Resource & Milestone Alignment: Je voert de eerste interne assessment uit voor het onderzoeks project (definitie van mijlpalen, deliverables, benodigde capaciteit en afhankelijkheden). In nauwe samenwerking met de Technical Lead borg je de balans tussen de wensen van de klant en de beschikbare capaciteit/prioriteiten.
  • Way of Working: Je richt een efficiënte en heldere manier van werken in voor het team (vergaderfrequentie, documentatiestandaarden en voortgangsrapportages).
  • Execution & Control: Je monitort actief de voortgang ten opzichte van het goedgekeurde plan (tracking van key deliverables, critical lot progress en het opzetten van resource dashboards).
  • Risk & Escalation Management: Je identificeert, analyseert en mitigeert risico's en knelpunten tijdig. Waar nodig escaleer je onderbouwd naar het hoger management.

Jouw profiel

  • Opleiding & Ervaring: Master of PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering of een relevante STEM-richting, aangevuld met circa 10 jaar aantoonbare ervaring.
  • Domeinkennis: Aantoonbare achtergrond in system-level R&D-projecten en solide kennis van computerarchitectuur. Ervaring met het modelleren van grootschalige systemen en componenten is een sterke troef.
  • Project & Change Excellence: Een sterk track record in project- en verander-management. Je beheerst gangbare projectmanagement-methodologieën en past deze op een wendbare en pragmatische manier toe.
  • Consultant Mindset: Je bent resultaatgericht, klantgericht en beweegt je gemakkelijk in complexe stakeholder-omgevingen. Je bouwt moeiteloos duurzame relaties op, zowel intern als extern.
  • Communicatie: Uitstekende netwerk- en communicatievaardigheden. Je kunt ingewikkelde materie helder presenteren en afstemmen op uiteenlopende doelgroepen (van R&D-engineers tot executive management).
