What you’ll be doing...
You and your team will be working on a real project in real time: it’ll be impactful and timely work that the business depends on. In recent summers, interns in Verizon Business Group have:
- Executed multidisciplinary projects & client initiatives, collaborating across diverse business units to work on high-impact projects ranging from technical solution design to business process optimization, and strategic enablement.
- Leveraged cutting-edge AI & digital labor tools, applying modern enterprise AI tools - including Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude, and internal automation platforms such as ServiceNow, Ansible, and Python - to accelerate research, synthesize complex technical data, build intelligent workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Built professional communities, networking with our Global Solutions teams and the broader intern cohort to participate in virtual volunteering and engage in leadership talks.
- Read out presentations, presenting key project deliverables to the Global Solutions Executive Leadership Team.
In this hybrid internship, based out of Basking Ridge, NJ, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. If relocation is required, relocation assistance may be available.
You’ll also join us for the Intern Marquee event in Basking Ridge, NJ, a unique, in-person experience designed exclusively for all US interns. This multi-day event is your chance to build your connections through structured networking and be inspired by top executives in a professional environment.

You look beyond basic execution and use systems thinking, data-driven reasoning, and technical acumen to streamline complex processes and solve tough problems. Passionate about continuous learning, you take smart, calculated risks and lead with ethical judgment. You bring a collaborative, "One Team" spirit that breaks down silos and influences stakeholders across the business to deliver customer-centric impact.
All successful applicants to this role will:
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at New York University, Rutgers University or New Jersey Institute of Technology, with a graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028, and be in good academic standing.
- Have the ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week (temporary) internship between June 2027 to August 2027.
- Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
- Be willing and able to travel.
- Be willing and able to relocate.
- Demonstrate agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication.
- Have demonstrated familiarity with generative AI Tools (Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude).
- Proficiency with Google Workspace productivity tools.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in one of the following majors: Business Intelligence, Digital Technology, Engineering Technology, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Network & Communications Management, Strategy Consulting, Telecommunications or a related major.
- Demonstrated experience with complex problem solving & critical thinking.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects, applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification to solve complex problems and streamline workflows across matrixed teams.
- A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative, with proven ability to leverage technical/data literacy (including AI tools) to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver customer-centric outcomes.

The base pay rate for this position is $27.00/hour.
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
